London, March 11th, 2015: The New Climate Economy (NCE) is pleased to announce the addition of two new distinguished commissioners to the Global Commission on the Economy and Climate: Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Jean-Pascal Tricoire. They will bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the project.

Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is the Finance Minister of Nigeria. She was a Managing Director of the World Bank from 2007-2011.

Jean-Pascal Tricoire is the CEO and President of Schneider Electric, a multinational headquartered in France.

Together, these two new members join a Commission now twenty-six strong, with members drawn from twenty countries.  The Commission is an international initiative to investigate and communicate the relationship between economic growth and climate change. Chaired by Felipe Calderón, former President of Mexico, and co-chaired by renowned economist Lord Nicholas Stern, the Commission comprises leading figures in the fields of government, business and finance.
