The Global Commission (2013-2022)

The New Climate Economy was overseen by a Global Commission until 2022. The Commission comprised of former heads of government and finance ministers, and leaders in the fields of economics, business and finance. All members served in a personal capacity. Dr. Frannie Leautier is Senior Officer and CEO of SouthBridge Investments.

Dr. Leautier previsouly served as COO and Executive, Asset Management, of the Trade and Development Bank (TDB). Before her appointment with TDB, Dr. Leautier was Senior Vice President of the African Development Bank (AfDB).

Patricia de Lille

Commissioner; Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure

Currently the Minister of Public Works and Infrastructure, Patricia de Lille has fought injustice for more than 40 years through her involvement in politics. She is known for her role as a trade unionist in the struggle for equality and as the initial whistle-blower on the infamous Arms Deal in 1999.

Under his leadership the OECD expanded its membership and its links to major non-OECD countries, reinforcing its role as a hub for global dialogue and debate on economic policy issues.
