Carlota Perez 

Carlota Perez is Professor of Technology and Development at the Technological University of Tallinn, Estonia, and Centennial Professor at the London School of Economics.  Her research and writing in economics and economic history have focused on growth, development and technological change, notably in her landmark book Technological Revolutions and Financial Capital: the Dynamics of Bubbles and Golden Ages (Edward Elgar 2002). She works as a researcher, lecturer and international consultant.  In Venezuela, she was the first Director of Technology in the Ministry of Industry (1980–1983), where she established the country’s first venture capital fund, FINTEC.
